Automatic tablet press installation, commissioning and disassembly

1 Preparation before installation

1. The tablet press is installed on a solid wooden workbench (it can also be insta→lled on a cement table) and fixed with three M12 anchor screws. The h↕eight of the work table to the ground is about 600mm (by hand, easy to operate). In or‌der to facilitate disassembly and repair, there should also be a hole with a φdiameter of about 35mm on the wooden workbench corresponding to the position of the lo©wer punch core rod.

2. Connect the motor to the ground wire before connecting the motor power supply to ensure safety.γ Remove the V-belt, turn on the power supply of the motor, st♣art the motor to observe whether the rotation direction of the motor is correct (the rotat>ion direction of the motor shaft should be opposite to the arrow dire£ction on the protective cover or hand wheel). If the rotation direction is w"rong, connect separately and then install the V-belt.

2 Installation of punching die

1) Installation of upper die

Unscrew the punch fixing screw, turn the hand wheel to raise the punch core rod to the hi∑ghest position, insert the punch rod into the hole of the punch c±ore rod (pay attention to align the notch slope of☆ the punch rod with the punch fixing screw and insert it to the bottom),§ and finally tighten the punch fixing screw.

2) Installation of middle die

Loosen the fixing screw of the middle mold, lay the$ middle mold flat into the hole of the middle mold platen, at the same time make the underpunch ×into the hole of the middle mold, press to the bottom, and then tighten the fixing screw× of the middle mold. When placing the middle mold, pay attention to leveliβng the middle mold to avoid jamming and damaging the hole wall πwhen placing it askew.

3) Installation of lower die

Loosen the upper punch fastening nut, insert the upper punch core rod into the hole of the up£per punch core rod to the end, and use a wrench to clamp the hexagon at the lo♠wer part of the upper punch core rod and tighten the upper punch fastening n→ut.

After the die is installed, turn the hand wheel by 'hand to slowly lower the upper punch into the middle die hole, and observe whether t$here is collision or friction. If collision or friction occurs, loosen the fixing screws (tw♠o) of the middle die platen, and adjust the fixing position of the middle die platen t o make the upper punch enter.

In the middle die hole, tighten the fixing screws of the middle die platen again, and •adjust in this way until the upper punch enters the middle die without colσlision or friction before the installation is qualified.

4 Commissioning

1) Adjustment of the film

Rotate the handwheel to raise the lower punch to the ∏highest position, and observe whether the lower punch surface is aligned with the plane of t↑he middle die (high or low will affect the film). If not, loose¥n the butterfly screw, loosen the gear pressure plate to convey the upper adjustment gear, make αthe lower punch surface aligned with the plane of the middle die, and then still press the pressuΩre plate on and tighten the butterfly screw.

At this point, the hand wheel is cranked by hand, and the empty car ruσns for more than ten revolutions. If the machine runs normεally, the material can be added for pressure test an€d the next adjustment can be carried out.

2) Adjustment of filling depth (I. e. adjustment of ta≤blet weight)

Loosen the butterfly screw and loosen the gear pressure plate". Turn the lower adjustment gear to the left to raise the lower punch core rod, and the filling dep©th is reduced (the weight of the tablet is reduced). After adjust↔ment, press the gear pressure plate and tighten the butterfly screw.

3) Adjustment of pressure (I. e. adjustment of tablet hardness)

Loosen the connecting rod lock nut, turn the upper punch core rod, turn© left to move the upper punch core rod downward, the pressure will increase, and the hardnes∏s of the pressed tablets will increase; on the cont✘rary, turn right, the pressure will decrease, and the tablet hardness De crease, after adjusting, use a wrench to jam the hex"agonal lower part of the upper punch core rod, and still lock the connecti♦ng rod lock nut.

At this point, the adjustment of the stamping die is basically ∞completed, and then the motor is started to test more than ten pieces. If the qualiλty of the pieces such as weight, hardness and surface finish is qualified, the mat↓erials can be put into production. During the production p'rocess, the quality of tablets must still be checked at any time and adjusted in≠ time.

5 Removal of die

1) Remove the upper punch: loosen the upper punch fastening nut to pull out Ωthe upper punch rod. If the fit is tight, the upper punch rod can be pulled✔ out by clamping it with pliers, but pay attention not to damage the edge of ♠the punch.

2) Remove the middle mold: loosen the fixing screw ♣of the middle mold, unscrew the down-punching fixing screw, loosen the butteεrfly screw, and loosen the gear pressure plate. Move the adjπusting gear to make the lower punch core rod rise 10mm, gently rotate the hand wheel to m​ake the lower punch core rod push out a part of the middle die, anφd take out the middle die by hand. If the middle die fits tight♠ly in the hole, do not rotate the hard top of the hand wheel forcefully to avoi≤d damaging the parts. At this time, the middle die p♣late must be removed and then the middle die is taken out.

3) Remove the underpunch: first unscrew the underpunch fixing scr$ew, then turn the hand wheel to raise the underpunch core rod to the highest positi&on, and then pull out the upper punch rod by hand. If the fit is tight, it can be clamp↔ed out with hand pliers (be careful not to damage the edge of the punch).

4) After the die is disassembled, the adjusting gear must be rotated to make theσ lower punch core rod retreat by about 10mm. When the hand≤ wheel is rotated to make the lower punch core rod r♠ise to the highest position, its top end is not higher than the bot≤tom surface of the middle die platen (this step should πnot be ignored, so as to avoid the accident of collision between the lower punch core rod and the "middle die when used again). Finally, still screw on the undershoot fixing screw.
