Tablet presses appeared earlier in Europe and the United States, with a history of nearly a h∑undred years. In 1951, according to the 16-punch tablet press in the United States, it was convert✘ed into a domestic 18-punch tablet press, which was the earl&iest pharmaceutical machinery manufactured in China. In 1957, a ZP25-4 tabletφ press was designed and manufactured. In 1960, the 60-30¶ tablet press was successfully designed and manufactured by itself, which has the functions ®of automatic rotation and tablet compression. The types of tablets, sugar tablets, calcium£ tablets, coffee tablets, etc. The same year also designed and manφufactured the ZP33, ZP19 type tablet press.

During the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" period, the HZP26 high-sγpeed tablet press of the 206 Institute of the Ministry of Aeronautics and Astronautics was πsuccessfully developed. In 1980, China has designed an∞d manufactured ZP-21W type tablet press, reached t≈he international advanced level in the early 1980 s, is the first domestic product. In 1987, λthe introduction of Federal Germany Fette company microcompute∞r control technology, design and manufacture of the P3100-37 type rotary tablet press, with automat•ic control of tablet weight, pressure, automatic counting, automatic rejection βof waste tablets and other functions, tight closed structure, pur ification degree to GMP requirements. In 1997, ZP100 series rota€ry tablet press and GZPK100 series high-speed rotary tablet press were d♥eveloped in China.

In the 21st century, with the deepening of GMP certification, ZP series rotary ta§blet presses, which fully comply with GMP, have successively appeared ZP35÷A, ZP35D, etc. The high-speed rotary tablet press has made great progress inδ production, pressure signal acquisition, waste removal and other technologies. The maxi®mum production is generally more than 300000 tablets/hour, ✔the maximum pre-pressure is 20kN, and the maximum main pressure is 80kN or more than 100k♣N.

With the level of manufacturing process, the improvement of automatic co→ntrol technology and the different special needs of tablet press manufacturers, various <special purpose tablet presses have also appeared. For example, ZP5 rotary tablet press for labor₹atory, dry powder rotary tablet press for dry powder tablet, explos ion-proof ZPYG51 series rotary tablet press for gunpowder tablet,‍ etc.
